General conditions of sale for guestrooms.
Validating a booking :
Stays are guaranteed uniquely on receipt of a deposit corresponding to 30% of the total cost of your stay and will be deducted from the bill on arrival. Deposits are banked on receipt. Deposits should be paid within 5 days at the latest.
You may pay the deposit in one of three ways: by cheque (made payable to SA Ex Intra Muros) enclosed with the booking contract – by bank transfer without fees (quicker for a confirmed booking / for fees please check with your bank). –by bank card (subject to acceptance). The cardholder expressly authorises SA Ex Intra Muros to take the amount of the deposit agreed under the present conditions of sale.
Should the stay be cancelled, the cardholder authorises SA Ex Intra Muros to take the balance for the booking in accordance with the methods provided for in the article in the present conditions of sale dealing with cancellations.
Your booking is confirmed once the deposit has cleared. Payment of a deposit implies acceptance of the present general conditions of sale.
For reservations over 5 nights and made at least 3 weeks beforehand, we will send you a booking contract which should be returned to us signed and accompanied by the deposit if you are paying by cheque

Should the stay be completely cancelled, the deposit paid definitively remains the property of the vendor.
Time of arrival :
The guest rooms are available from 5 pm.
As far as possible please do not arrive after 8.30 pm and make arrangements for any arrival that may be later than this.
Time of departure :
Guest rooms should be vacated before 11 am.
Change of rooms : Without the client being eligible for any compensation, the operator reserves right to change the room initially booked by the client for a room with the same or greater capacity. In this case, the cost of the booking remains the same.
Pets :
Unless explicitly agreed at the time of booking, pets are not accepted at Château de Chavanes.
Art de vivre:
Adherence to a certain art de vivre is required from all guests to ensure the property remains peaceful and comfortable for other guests. Furthermore, we ask guests not to smoke in their rooms. Clients undertake to respect the rules of social etiquette that are to be found in the rooms and in the present general conditions of sale. Clients undertake to return the rooms in perfect condition at the end of their stay and to declare, and assume financial responsibility for, any deterioration for which they may be responsible.
The kitchen is not let at the guests’ free disposal.

Cancellation: If cancellation takes places more than 72 hours prior to the start of the stay, the deposit remains the property of Ex Intra Muros. If cancellation is less than 72 hours before the start of the stay, the deposit remains the property of Ex Intra Muros, which furthermore reserves the right to reclaim the balance of the cost of the stay. Should the client not show before 7 pm on the day the stay is planned to begin, Ex Intra Muros may make use of the rooms. The deposit remains the property of Ex Intra Muros, which furthermore reserves the right to reclaim the balance of the cost of the stay. Should a stay be cut short, the sum corresponding to the cost of the accommodation remains in full the property of Ex Intra Muros.
The present conditions of sale may be modified at any time without notice. These conditions of sale are considered to have been accepted and respected as soon as the deposit has been paid.
In accordance with the law of 6 January 1978, you have the right to access and correct any information about you. Ex Intra Muros undertakes not to transmit any information you have communicated to any other companies or organisations.
